  Found unresponsive in his cell at Stewart Detention Center (Georgia); death ruled an apparent suicide by ICE 

 

May 5, 2025 – Abelardo Avellaneda‑Delgado, 68 (Mexico)

  Died during transport from Lowndes County Jail to Stewart; suspected aortic aneurysm amid concerns over his failing health and poor oversight 

 

April 25, 2025 – Marie Ange Blaise, 44 (Haiti)

  Passed away at Broward Transitional Center in Pompano Beach, Florida

January 29, 2025 – Serawit Gezahegn Dejene (Ethiopia)
